Village Scrapbook: Turvey
Unknown paper A general article on Turvey with references made to the architecture of the village, its traffic, the church and it’s organ. An outline of the Mordaunt family’s role in the village is provided and the coming of the railway. Reference is also made to Thomas Andrews the poet of Turvey and the fact that all his poems were collected in a bound leather book. There are two pictures with the article displaying a view of All Saints and some of the cottages in Church Terrace where an old style water tap can be seen.
