Wrecked steam locomotive at Turvey Station
On 17 June 1960, a freight train collided with empty coaching stock near Turvey station.
The engine, LMS 2-8-0 Stanier 8F No 48616, was derailed and rolled down the embankment.
This photograph shows the locomotive after recovery.
