New Rectory from South West
On reverse ” ? to be Rectory, Turvey” signed HLH, almost certainly Hugh Longuet Higgins. To the right are the cottages in Church Terrace which, originally, were ‘on the road’. These were demolished by Charles Longuet Higgins in the mid 1850s and replaced with cottages well bak from the road, as can be seen today.
