The site of a building shown on a map of 1783. It is also shown on a map of 1838, where it is described as a dovecote; the 1838 survey book contains a note suggesting that it was to be demolished, and this is thought to have taken place in 1842.

Documentary sources mention a cottage used as a workhouse in the eighteenth century; but was no longer serving this function by 1847.
