Transcript of the 1786 Sale Catalogue for the sale of Turvey
The catalogue details the six lots presented for auction at Garraway’s Coffee-house, Change Alley, London on 22nd November 1786. The items were put up for sale by Charles Mordaunt the 5th Earl of Peterborough.
The catalogues could be viewed prior to auction through Thomas Tandy of Turvey, Mr John Higgins of Weston Underwood, at the post houses of Newport and Dunstable, Swan in Bedford, Sun in Hitchen and at Mr Skinner & Co. of Aldersgate, London.
In addition to the list of properties and land for sale, the catalogues also includes the names of the tenants as follows: John Davison, Samuel Skevington, Thomas Battame, Thomas Davison, Revd. Thomas Jones, William and Austin Sheffield, Martin Coles, James Stanton, Hugh Row, William Skevington, Daniel Allebone, William Pearson, John Manning and Thomas Davison.
The six lots were purchased by William Fuller, John Higgins, Charles Higgins and Thomas Garrett.
