Suicide of Jonah
In 1895 the River Great Ouse froze and Jonah, who at that time was erected in the Mill Pond, toppled over and came away from his plinth.
The statue was placed on a larger plinth and moved to its current location.
The image includes 8 men standing around the fallen Jonah and the postcard is marked ‘Suicide of Jonah’.
