Chapter 8: Village Festivals

The Festivals referred to in this Chapter are the Choral Festival of Church Music, the Flower Show of Turvey Horticultural Society and the Friendly Societies’ Festival which brought together the following clubs: The Queen’s Club, The Women’s Club, The Old Men’s Club, The Chain of Friendship Club, The Manchester Unity of Oddfellows, The Free Gardeners’ Club and The Church of England Temperance Benefit Club.
