Site of Former Workhouse
Documentary sources mention a cottage used as a workhouse in the eighteenth century; but was no longer serving this function by 1847. Slight earthworks visible in the area of the cottage in the 1970s may have been the remains of the demolished building.
Located at the end of Hog’s Lane which ran alongside the Church.
